It wasn’t exactly the memorable moment they hoped for.
A group of three waterfalls at the south end of Niagara Gorge is one of the biggest attractions in the northeastern part of the US.
It is the most powerful waterfall in North America, gushing 5.9 cubic meters of water over the crest every minute as it sits at the border of upstate New York and Canada.
While I’ve never been myself, I’ve heard the size is hard to comprehend and you wind up just mesmerized by it. It’s a summer tradition for many families around where I’m from in Pennsylvania to visit the falls.
A family recently visited Niagara Falls and noticed a helpless animal being dragged mercilessly toward the crest when they noticed a much different sight than many others.
While deer are very common in the area surrounding the falls, despite their excellent swimming skills and general prudence, one deer found itself swept away by the current.
When people realize a deer is about to be thrown down a 100-foot cliff surrounded by millions of pounds of water, they gasp.

The video doesn’t prove either way, but it’s almost 100% certain those were the deer’s final moments.
There is no mercy in nature.
