Austin Reaves has been focused on securing his future in the NBA since entering as an undrafted free agent in 2021.
In addition to his seven-figure signature sneaker deal, the 25-year-old is expected to earn a big payday from a team this offseason.
Reaves announced his new contract with Chinese brand Rigorer earlier today in an interview with Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Charania told Reaves that he felt blessed for his new sneaker deal. If you had told me I would have had a signature shoe at 18, I would have called you a liar."
Although Reaves admits he had an unlikely path to becoming a signature athlete, his performance with the Los Angeles Lakers suggests otherwise.
Through a tumultuous season in Los Angeles, Reaves remained unflappable.
During the 2023-24 NBA season, Reaves will debut his first signature shoe.
There are currently no details on the pricing or technical specifications of the Rigorer AR1, which will launch to the public later this summer.
